Description

A delicious and easy-to-make Philly cheesesteak featuring ground beef, onions, bell peppers, and melted provolone cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking
  • Optional: hoagie rolls (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced onions and bell peppers, cooking until softened.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Cook until the beef is browned and cooked through.
  5. Place slices of provolone cheese on top, cover the skillet, and allow to melt.
  6. Serve hot, either on its own or in hoagie rolls.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. If you want to keep it longer, consider freezing the cooked filling without the cheese.
