Description

A simple yet delicious dish packed with flavor, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 8 ounces pasta (spaghetti, penne, or your choice)
  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for serving
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned, making sure to drain any excess fat.
  4. Stir in diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes to combine the flavors.
  5. Combine the cooked pasta with the beef mixture, stirring until everything is well mixed.
  6. Serve topped with grated Parmesan cheese and garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

Avoid overcooking the pasta and ensure to drain excess fat from the beef for a lighter dish.
