Description
A hearty and comforting ground beef and noodle dish that’s simple to prepare and perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 8 ounces egg noodles
- 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the noodles: Start by boiling a large pot of salted water. Add the egg noodles and cook them according to package instructions until they are al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Brown the beef: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes until the onion becomes translucent.
- Add the ground beef: Add the ground beef to the skillet. Use a spatula to break it into smaller pieces. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until it is browned. Drain excess grease if necessary.
- Mix the ingredients: Stir in the cream of mushroom soup and beef broth. Add the cooked noodles, Italian herbs, salt, and pepper. Mix well until everything is combined.
- Add the cheese: Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the top. Allow it to melt for a few minutes, then gently stir it in.
- Serve: Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve hot.
