Description

A fun and colorful fruit platter perfect for holiday gatherings, featuring fresh fruits presented in a watermelon bowl resembling the Grinch.


Ingredients

  • 1 small watermelon
  • 1 cup strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 1 cup green grapes, halved
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks
  • 1 cup honeydew melon, cubed
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • Mini marshmallows (for snow)
  • Fresh mint leaves (for decoration)
  • Chocolate chips (for the eyes)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the watermelon by cutting a small slice off the bottom and the top to create a bowl shape.
  2. Scoop out the inside flesh of the watermelon and set aside both the watermelon bowl and the extracted flesh.
  3. In a bowl, mix the watermelon flesh with strawberries, green grapes, pineapple chunks, honeydew melon, and blueberries.
  4. Fill the hollowed-out watermelon bowl with the mixed fruit, packing it tightly.
  5. Place mini marshmallows around the edge of the watermelon for a snow effect and stack some on top.
  6. Use chocolate chips to create the Grinch’s eyes on the top of the bowl.
  7. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.
