Ingredients
1½ to 2 lbs London broil (top round or flank steak)
¼ cup olive oil
¼ cup soy sauce
3 tbsp balsamic vinegar
3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp brown sugar
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp dried rosemary or thyme
Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes
Instructions
1. Whisk olive oil, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, Worcestershire, brown sugar, garlic, pepper, and rosemary.
2. Place steak in a zip-top bag or dish; add marinade and refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight.
3. Preheat grill to medium-high heat (around 450°F). Pat steak dry.
4. Grill 4–6 minutes per side for medium-rare or adjust to preferred doneness.
5. Rest steak for 10 minutes before slicing thinly against the grain.
6. Serve immediately with your favorite sides.
Notes
Marinate overnight for maximum tenderness.
For added flavor, brush steak with reserved marinade during grilling (do not use marinade that touched raw meat without boiling first).
Pairs perfectly with grilled vegetables or fresh salad.
