Description

Combine the comfort of a grilled cheese sandwich with the hearty goodness of a burrito in this delicious and customizable dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1 cup cooked and seasoned ground beef or beans (optional)
  • 1/2 cup cooked rice (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Salsa (for serving, optional)
  • Sour cream (for serving, optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt the butter.
  2. Place a tortilla in the skillet and sprinkle half of the cheese on one half of the tortilla.
  3. Add the cooked ground beef or beans and rice if using, then top with the remaining cheese.
  4. Fold the tortilla over to cover the filling and press down gently.
  5. Cook until the bottom is golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Flip the burrito carefully and cook the other side until golden and the cheese is melted.
  7. Remove from the skillet, slice in half, and serve with salsa and sour cream if desired.

Notes

Avoid overstuffing the burrito to ensure it cooks evenly. Feel free to customize the filling according to your preferences.
