Description

A healthy twist on classic meatballs, these Greek Turkey Meatballs with Tzatziki are full of flavor and easy to make, perfect for family dinners or entertaining guests.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cucumber, grated and drained
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, chopped parsley, minced garlic, egg, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into meatballs and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through and reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  5. In a bowl, mix together the Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, and a sprinkle of salt. Stir until well blended.
  6. Once the meatballs are cooked, let them cool slightly, then serve with the tzatziki sauce on the side.

Notes

Make sure to drain the cucumber well for the tzatziki to prevent it from becoming watery. You can prepare the meatball mixture a day in advance and refrigerate it until ready to cook.
