A delicious and healthier twist on traditional meatballs, these Greek Turkey Meatballs with homemade tzatziki sauce are flavorful and easy to make.

- 1 pound lean ground turkey
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh oregano, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 egg
- Olive oil (for cooking)
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cucumber, grated and drained
- 1 clove garlic, minced (for tzatziki)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt to taste (for tzatziki)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, chopped onion, minced garlic, chopped parsley, fresh oregano, salt, pepper, and egg. Mix everything until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into meatballs, each about 1 inch in diameter.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally.
- While the meatballs are cooking, prepare the tzatziki sauce by mixing the Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, lemon juice, and salt until smooth.
- Once the meatballs are done, serve warm with tzatziki sauce on the side for dipping.
Notes
For a gluten-free option, use gluten-free breadcrumbs. Baking is also an alternative to frying; bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes.
