Description

Delicious and nutritious Greek beef stuffed pitas filled with seasoned ground beef and fresh vegetables.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 pita bread pockets
  • 1 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 cup cucumber, diced
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/4 cup red onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned.
  2. While the beef is cooking, prepare the lemon garlic sauce by mixing yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Once the beef is cooked, remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  4. Stuff each pita pocket with the seasoned beef, crumbled feta, chopped parsley, diced cucumber, cherry tomatoes, and red onion.
  5. Drizzle the creamy lemon garlic sauce inside each pita before serving.
