Ingredients

- 1 loaf of bread (cubed)
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 2 stalks of celery (chopped)
- 1/2 cup of butter
- 2–3 cups of chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon of dried sage
- 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and celery, and sauté until softened.
- In a large bowl, combine the bread cubes, sautéed vegetables, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Gradually add enough chicken broth to moisten the mixture without making it soggy.
- Transfer the stuffing to a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and crispy.
- Serve alongside your Thanksgiving turkey.
Notes
For added texture, consider mixing in some toasted nuts or diced apples. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for 3-4 days in the refrigerator or frozen for up to 2 months.
