Description

A delicious twist on classic Sloppy Joes, combining the rich flavors of Philly cheesesteak with the convenience of a handheld meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 slices of provolone cheese
  • 4 burger buns
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the onions and bell peppers. Cook until they are caramelized, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add the ground beef along with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until the beef is browned and fully cooked.
  4. Place slices of provolone cheese on top of the beef mixture. Cover the skillet briefly to let the cheese melt well.
  5. Serve the beef mixture hot on toasted burger buns. Enjoy!

Notes

For added flavor, lightly toast the burger buns before serving.
