Description

A classic dish featuring tender beef, sautéed mushrooms, and a creamy sauce, served over egg noodles or rice.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parsley for garnish
  • Egg noodles or rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the chopped onions and minced garlic; sauté until softened, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add the sliced beef; cook until browned, around 4-5 minutes. Make sure not to crowd the pan for better browning.
  4. Stir in the sliced mushrooms and cook until they release their juices, about 5 minutes.
  5. Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce; bring the mixture to a simmer.
  6. Reduce the heat to low and stir in the sour cream; cook until heated through, around 2-3 minutes.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve over cooked egg noodles or rice, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

For best results, avoid overcrowding the pan and use fresh ingredients.
