Description

A timeless dish that combines tender pieces of beef with a creamy sauce, perfect for special occasions or weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef sirloin or filet, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream or sour cream
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a pan over high heat. Quickly sear the beef strips for 1-2 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pan, melt butter and sauté onions, garlic, and mushrooms until softened.
  3. Stir in Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and beef broth. Let it simmer for 3-4 minutes to reduce.
  4. Lower the heat and mix in sour cream or heavy cream. Stir until smooth, then return the beef to the pan.
  5. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve over buttered noodles or rice!

Notes

Slice the beef against the grain for tenderness. Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. Adjust creaminess based on personal preference.
