Description

A delightful cake featuring layers of chocolate cake, marshmallow frosting, and crunchy graham crackers, bringing the nostalgia of bonfires to your dining table.


Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup butter
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate ganache (optional for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. Combine the chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs in a large bowl. Mix until smooth and evenly blended.
  3. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans and bake for about 30 to 35 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick.
  4. Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for about 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  5. Beat the butter in a bowl until creamy for the marshmallow frosting. Gradually add the powdered sugar and mix until smooth.
  6. Stir in the vanilla extract and fold in the mini marshmallows.
  7. Assemble the cake by placing one layer on a serving plate. Spread marshmallow frosting and sprinkle graham cracker crumbs.
  8. Place the second layer on top and frost the top and the sides with remaining frosting. Drizzle with chocolate ganache if using.
  9. Decorate with additional mini marshmallows and graham cracker crumbs.
  10. Slice the cake and enjoy!
