Description
Juicy meatballs stuffed with gooey mozzarella cheese, perfect for family dinners or parties.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 lb ground pork
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 8 oz mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix everything until well combined.
- Take a small amount of the meat mixture and flatten it in your palm. Place a cube of mozzarella in the center and wrap the meat around it, forming a ball. Repeat this process until all the meat mixture is used.
- Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and sear them for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until they are browned.
- Pour the marinara sauce over the meatballs and transfer the skillet to the preheated oven.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
