Description

Juicy meatballs stuffed with gooey mozzarella cheese, perfect for family dinners or parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 8 oz mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix everything until well combined.
  3. Take a small amount of the meat mixture and flatten it in your palm. Place a cube of mozzarella in the center and wrap the meat around it, forming a ball. Repeat this process until all the meat mixture is used.
  4. Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and sear them for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until they are browned.
  5. Pour the marinara sauce over the meatballs and transfer the skillet to the preheated oven.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
