Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese (225g, softened at room temperature for 3060 minutes)
  • 1 cup shredded parmesan cheese (100g, freshly grated preferred)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup heavy cream (240ml, or whole milk)
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh basil or lemon juice (optional, for brightness)

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken in the crockpot and season with salt and pepper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, parmesan cheese, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
  3. Gradually stir in heavy cream until smooth and pourable.
  4. Pour the sauce over the chicken, ensuring all pieces are coated.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours until the chicken is done.
  6. Stir in basil or lemon juice 10 minutes before serving, if desired.
  7. Shred the chicken in the crockpot and stir it into the creamy sauce.
