Description
A creamy and flavorful pasta dish with tender steak bites and a spicy Cajun Alfredo sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 pounds sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 12 oz rotini or fusilli pasta
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta according to package instructions and cook until just tender. Reserve about half a cup of pasta water before draining.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the steak with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Cook for 3-4 minutes until browned, then remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat slightly and add butter. Once melted, stir in minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream, stir in Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Simmer gently for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened, then mix in Parmesan cheese until smooth.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until coated in the sauce. If too thick, gradually add reserved pasta water until desired consistency is achieved.
- Return seared steak to the skillet and gently fold into the pasta. Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve warm.
