Description

A flavorful and easy-to-prepare garlic butter roasted cabbage dish made quickly in a pressure cooker.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 head cabbage (washed and trimmed)
  • 3 tablespoons butter (for brushing)
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • To taste salt
  • To taste pepper

Instructions

  1. Start by cutting the cabbage into thick slices, or “steaks.” You should get about 4 to 6 steaks from one head of cabbage.
  2. Melt the butter in a small bowl and mix in the garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Brush the melted garlic butter mixture generously on both sides of the cabbage steaks.
  4. Place the cabbage steaks carefully into the pressure cooker, stacking them if possible.
  5. Close the lid of the pressure cooker and set it to cook on high pressure for about 5 minutes.
  6. Once the cooking time is up, do a quick release of the pressure.
  7. Carefully remove the cabbage from the cooker and place it on a serving platter.

Notes

Don’t overcrowd the pressure cooker and adjust seasoning according to taste.
