A flavorful and easy-to-prepare garlic butter roasted cabbage dish made quickly in a pressure cooker.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 head cabbage (washed and trimmed)
- 3 tablespoons butter (for brushing)
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- To taste salt
- To taste pepper
Instructions
- Start by cutting the cabbage into thick slices, or “steaks.” You should get about 4 to 6 steaks from one head of cabbage.
- Melt the butter in a small bowl and mix in the garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Brush the melted garlic butter mixture generously on both sides of the cabbage steaks.
- Place the cabbage steaks carefully into the pressure cooker, stacking them if possible.
- Close the lid of the pressure cooker and set it to cook on high pressure for about 5 minutes.
- Once the cooking time is up, do a quick release of the pressure.
- Carefully remove the cabbage from the cooker and place it on a serving platter.
Notes
Don’t overcrowd the pressure cooker and adjust seasoning according to taste.
