Description

A rich and flavorful dish made with lobster, garlic, and butter, perfect for special occasions or a luxurious dinner at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Two (2) Live Lobsters (1.5-2 lbs each)
  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter, divided
  • 810 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 Lemon, for zest and juice
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Parsley, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Chives, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
  • Sea Salt, to taste
  • Freshly Ground Black Pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1/2 cup Vegetable Broth (optional, for sauce)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring heavily salted water to a rolling boil. Blanch lobsters for 60-90 seconds, then immediately transfer to an ice bath.
  2. Place lobsters belly-side down. Using a sharp knife, quickly split each lobster lengthwise through the head and tail, removing the intestinal vein, tomalley, and roe.
  3. Gently crack the lobster claws to enhance flavor infusion.
  4. Melt 3/4 cup unsalted butter over low heat. Add garlic, smoked paprika, and red pepper flakes, heating for 5-7 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Remove from heat, stir in half of the parsley, half of the chives, and lemon zest. Season with sea salt and black pepper, reserving 1/4 cup for serving.
  6. Broil or bake the lobsters, brushing with garlic butter and cooking until opaque and internal temperature reaches 135-140°F (57-60°C).
  7. Let lobsters rest for 3-5 minutes, then squeeze fresh lemon juice and drizzle with remaining garlic butter.

Notes

Serve with garlic bread, roasted vegetables, salad, or light pasta. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 1-2 days.
