Description
Soft, fluffy dinner rolls infused with garlic butter flavor, perfect for any meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm milk (105°F)
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg (room temperature)
- 1 tsp salt
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter (softened)
- 4 tbsp melted butter
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley or chives
- ¼ tsp sea salt
Instructions
- Pour warm milk into a mixing bowl. Stir in sugar and yeast, then let it sit for 10 minutes until foamy.
- Add melted butter and beaten egg to the yeast mixture. Slowly mix in the flour and salt until a soft dough forms.
- Knead on a floured surface for 8 to 10 minutes or in a mixer for 5 minutes on medium speed.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a towel, and let it rise in a warm spot for about 1 to 1½ hours.
- Punch down the dough gently to release air. Divide it into 12 equal pieces and shape each piece into a smooth ball.
- Cover the rolls and let them rest for 30 to 40 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F and bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until the tops are golden brown.
- While still warm, brush generously with the garlic butter glaze.
Notes
For a shiny finish brush the rolls while hot. Store them in a container to keep soft.
