- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
- 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken pieces, season with salt and pepper, and sauté for 5-6 minutes until golden and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add 1/4 cup of water and broccoli florets. Cover and steam for 2-3 minutes until bright green and crisp-tender. Discard excess water.
- Reduce heat to medium-low, melt butter in the skillet, and add minced garlic. Cook for about 30 seconds until aromatic.
- Add soy sauce, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes, if using. Stir to combine.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, toss to coat in the garlic butter sauce, and let cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Gently fold in the steamed broccoli until well mixed and coated with sauce.
- Remove from heat, sprinkle with sesame seeds and parsley if desired, and serve warm.
