Description

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken pieces, season with salt and pepper, and sauté for 5-6 minutes until golden and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add 1/4 cup of water and broccoli florets. Cover and steam for 2-3 minutes until bright green and crisp-tender. Discard excess water.
  3. Reduce heat to medium-low, melt butter in the skillet, and add minced garlic. Cook for about 30 seconds until aromatic.
  4. Add soy sauce, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes, if using. Stir to combine.
  5. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, toss to coat in the garlic butter sauce, and let cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  6. Gently fold in the steamed broccoli until well mixed and coated with sauce.
  7. Remove from heat, sprinkle with sesame seeds and parsley if desired, and serve warm.
