Description
A delightful twist on the classic grilled cheese sandwich with crispy garlic butter bread and gooey melted cheese.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 slices thick-cut bread (like sourdough or Texas toast)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 cup shredded cheese (such as cheddar, mozzarella, or a blend)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- Spread the garlic butter mixture on one side of each slice of bread.
- Heat a frying pan or skillet over medium heat.
- Place two slices of bread in the pan, buttered side down, and add half of the shredded cheese on top of each slice.
- Top with the remaining two slices of bread, buttered side up.
- Grill the sandwiches for about 3-4 minutes, or until the bottom is golden brown.
- Carefully flip the sandwiches using a spatula and grill the other side for another 3-4 minutes until golden brown and the cheese has melted.
- Remove the sandwiches from the pan, let them cool for a minute, then cut in half.
- Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. Be patient with the heat to achieve perfect melting without burning the bread.
