Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
½ cup whole milk
1 egg
½ tsp vanilla extract
Vegetable oil (for frying)
Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
1. Heat oil to 350°F.
2. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
3. Whisk milk, egg, and vanilla in another bowl.
4. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
5. Drop spoonfuls of batter into oil, fry 2–3 minutes per side.
6. Drain on paper towels and dust with powdered sugar.
Notes
Air fry at 375°F for 6–8 minutes as an alternative.
Add blueberries, bananas, or cocoa powder for variations.
