Description

A comforting blend of creamy hash browns and crispy onion topping, perfect for potlucks and gatherings.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds frozen hash browns
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup French fried onions
  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine frozen hash browns, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, and green onions in a large bowl until well mixed.
  3. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until bubbly and lightly golden.
  5. Remove from the oven and top with French fried onions.
  6. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the onions are crispy.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a twist, add cooked bacon, broccoli, or different types of cheese.
