- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 can French onion soup
- 1 can beef consommé
- 1 cup rice
- 2 cups water
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with chopped onion and minced garlic until browned, draining excess fat.
- In a large bowl, combine the beef mixture with French onion soup, beef consommé, rice, and water. Season with salt and pepper.
- Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
- Cover tightly with aluminum foil and bake for about 45 minutes.
- After 45 minutes, remove the foil, sprinkle cheese on top, and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
