Ingredients
- French bread or baguette
- Sliced roast beef
- Provolone or Swiss cheese
- Butter
- Beef broth
- Garlic powder
- Onion powder
- Salt
- Black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
- Slice the French bread into sandwich-sized pieces.
- Butter one side of each slice of bread.
- On the unbuttered side, layer sliced roast beef and cheese.
- Close the sandwich with another slice of bread, buttered side out.
- Place the sandwich in the skillet and grill until golden brown on both sides and cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- In a small pot, heat beef broth with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
