A deliciously rich sandwich featuring creamy brie, sweet fig spread, and caramelized onions, all grilled to perfection.

- 2 slices of artisanal bread
- 2 ounces of brie cheese, sliced
- 2 tablespoons of fig spread
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon of butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and add the sliced onions. Cook until caramelized, about 15-20 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
- Spread fig spread on one side of each slice of bread. On one slice, layer the sliced brie and caramelized onions. Top with the other slice of bread, fig spread side down.
- In the same skillet, add the sandwich and grill until golden brown on both sides and the cheese is melted, about 4-5 minutes per side.
- Remove from skillet, slice, and serve warm.
Notes
Use room-temperature brie for best melting results. Pair with light sides like green salad or soup for a complete meal.
