Description

Delicious and lighter meatballs made with ground chicken and feta cheese, bursting with Mediterranean flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg
  • Olive oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Combine ground chicken, feta cheese, breadcrumbs, parsley, red onion, garlic, oregano, salt, pepper, and egg in a large bowl. Mix until well combined.
  2. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  3. Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Brown the meatballs on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Transfer the meatballs to a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, until cooked through.
  6. Serve warm as an appetizer or over a salad for a main dish.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor and don’t overmix the meatball mixture to avoid toughness.
