Description

A delightful holiday dessert combining the festive flavors of eggnog with a moist and fluffy cake.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box of yellow cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 cup of eggnog
  • 1 packet of vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 cup of whipped topping
  • Nutmeg for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the yellow cake mix, eggs, and milk until well combined. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
  3. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  4. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes.
  5. Poke holes all over the top of the cake using a fork.
  6. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggnog and vanilla pudding mix until well combined. Pour this mixture over the cake, ensuring it seeps into the holes.
  7. Refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours (or overnight for best results).
  8. Before serving, spread the whipped topping over the cooled cake and dust with nutmeg.

Notes

Store in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. It can also be frozen for 1-2 months, but the texture may change.
