Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground pork (or chicken or beef)
  • 1/2 small onion (thinly sliced)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 (14-ounce) bag coleslaw mix (or shredded cabbage)
  • 34 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon green onions (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat a large pan over medium-high heat and add 1 tablespoon of oil.
  2. Add ground pork (or your choice of meat) and cook until no longer pink, about 6-7 minutes, breaking it into small pieces.
  3. Add sliced onions and minced garlic, cooking for another 2-3 minutes until onions are soft.
  4. Incorporate the coleslaw mix (or shredded cabbage) and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently.
  5. Pour in soy sauce, toasted sesame oil, and sugar, stirring to combine. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and garnish with green onions if desired. Serve hot.

Notes

Allow to cool before storing. Keep in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days. Reheat before serving.
