Description

A delightful seafood lasagna featuring a creamy béchamel sauce, fresh seafood mix, and layers of rich cheeses.


Ingredients

  • 30 g unsalted butter
  • 20 g all-purpose flour
  • 480 ml whole milk
  • 50 g Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
  • ½ teaspoon fine salt
  • 280 g ricotta cheese
  • 60 g mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • ½ teaspoon fine salt
  • 450 g seafood mix (shrimp, scallops, squid, or similar)
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon fine salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 225 g fresh lasagna noodles
  • 60 g mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • Additional Parmesan cheese, for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Lightly grease a 23 × 33 cm baking dish and set it aside.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in the milk and continue cooking until the sauce thickens. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and remove from heat.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, shredded mozzarella, beaten egg, dried parsley, and salt. Mix until smooth and set aside.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seafood mix, salt, pepper, and dried parsley. Sauté for about 3 minutes.
  5. Spread a thin layer of béchamel sauce on the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Layer with lasagna noodles, a third of the cheese filling, a third of the seafood, followed by a third of the béchamel sauce. Repeat twice. Finish with béchamel sauce and sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan on top.
  6. Bake uncovered for 35 minutes until golden and bubbly. Allow to rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For the best results, use fresh seafood and allow the lasagna to rest before serving to maintain its shape.
