Description

A quick and simple treat that combines the sweetness of caramel with crunchy pecans and graham crackers, perfect for parties or as a dessert.


Ingredients

  • 1 sleeve graham crackers (about 9 sheets)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Spread the graham crackers evenly on the baking sheet.
  4. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  5. Add the brown sugar, vanilla extract, and salt to the melted butter. Stir until the mixture is boiling. Boil for 2-3 minutes without stirring.
  6. Pour the caramel mixture over the graham crackers, spreading it evenly.
  7. Sprinkle the chopped pecans over the top.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, until bubbly.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool completely.
  10. Once cooled, break into pieces and enjoy.

Notes

For a different flavor, consider adding chocolate chips or a pinch of cinnamon.
