Description

A fiery and satisfying appetizer that combines creamy cheese with the spicy kick from fresh jalapeños.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 10 fresh jalapeño peppers
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Bacon bits (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes to control the spice level.
  3. Mix together the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture, making sure to pack it in nicely.
  5. If desired, sprinkle bacon bits on top of the filling for added flavor.
  6. Dip each stuffed jalapeño in breadcrumbs to coat it evenly.
  7. Place the prepared jalapeños on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the jalapeños are tender and the tops are golden brown.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your tasty bites!

Notes

Jalapeños can vary in spice; adjust the heat as desired by removing more or fewer seeds.
