- 10 fresh jalapeño peppers
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Bacon bits (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cut the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes.
- Mix together the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture, packing it in nicely.
- Sprinkle bacon bits on top of the filling, if desired.
- Dip each stuffed jalapeño in breadcrumbs to coat it evenly.
- Place the prepared jalapeños on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, until tender and golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
Notes
For a milder flavor, ensure to remove all seeds and membranes from the jalapeños. You can also customize the fillings by adding cooked sausage or other cheeses.
