Description

A quick and flavorful dish featuring shrimp, sausage, and vibrant vegetables in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 8 oz smoked sausage, sliced
  • 2 cups bell peppers, chopped (any color)
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup snap peas
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated (optional)
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • cooked rice or quinoa (for serving, optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger in a small bowl. Mix well and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the sliced sausage to the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes until browned, stirring occasionally.
  4. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until they turn pink, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Next, add chopped bell peppers, broccoli florets, and snap peas. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the veggies are tender but still crisp.
  6. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the shrimp, sausage, and veggies. Stir well to coat everything evenly.
  7. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat.
  9. Serve over cooked rice or quinoa if desired.

Notes

Don’t overcook the shrimp to prevent them from becoming rubbery. Fresh vegetables enhance the flavor.
