- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 1 cup ham, diced
- 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: Dijon mustard for added flavor
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Cut it into squares, about 4×4 inches each.
- Mix the diced ham and shredded cheese in a bowl. Add salt and pepper to taste. If desired, mix in a little Dijon mustard for flavor.
- Place a spoonful of the ham and cheese mixture in the center of each puff pastry square.
- Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling and press to seal. Use a fork to crimp the edges for a decorative touch.
- Place the pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and puffed up.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
