Description

This delightful Easy German Chocolate Poke Cake is a simple dessert that combines a rich chocolate cake with caramel, coconut, and pecans for a mouthwatering treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 box German chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • Whipped cream (for topping, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven according to the cake mix instructions. Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Combine the cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs in a large bowl. Mix until smooth.
  3. Pour the cake batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  4. Let the cake cool for about 15 minutes.
  5. Poke holes all over the top of the cake using the end of a wooden spoon.
  6. Mix the sweetened condensed milk and caramel sauce together. Pour over the warm cake.
  7. Combine the shredded coconut and chopped pecans, and sprinkle over the top of the cake.
