Description
Delicious garlic knots that combine the comforting flavors of pizza into delightful bread rolls, perfect as appetizers or side dishes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can (11 ounces) refrigerated thin crust pizza dough
- ½ cup (1 stick) butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 teaspoons chopped fresh basil leaves
- 2 teaspoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- Marinara sauce, garlic sauce, or ranch dressing, for dipping (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and let it infuse for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan cheese, basil, parsley, salt, and pepper.
- On a lightly floured surface, unroll the pizza dough and cut it into strips about ½ inch wide and 6 inches long.
- Take each strip and tie it into a knot, pinching the ends to secure.
- Arrange the knots on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, watching closely after 8 minutes to prevent overcooking.
- Brush the warm knots with the garlic butter mixture.
- Garnish with extra Parmesan cheese or herbs if desired, and serve warm with dipping sauces.
Notes
Watch the baking time closely and make sure to pinch the ends of the knots well to maintain their shape during baking.
