Instructions

  1. Prep your ingredients: Slice beef sausage, dice onion and bell peppers, mince garlic, and measure out broth, cream, and seasoning.
  2. Brown the sausage: Heat olive oil in a skillet, add sausage, and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. Sauté the aromatics: In the same skillet, add onion and bell peppers, cooking for 5-7 minutes. Add garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Build the flavor base: Stir in Cajun seasoning and cook for about 30 seconds.
  5. Create the creamy sauce: Pour in chicken broth, scrape up browned bits, and stir in heavy cream. Simmer for a few minutes.
  6. Add the tortellini: Carefully add cheese tortellini and cook according to package directions, about 4-6 minutes.
  7. Combine and finish: Return browned sausage to the skillet and stir everything together. Adjust seasonings if needed.
