- 1 cup pecan halves
- 1 cup soft caramels (about 30 caramels)
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, chopped or chocolate chips
- Sea salt (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and toast the pecan halves for 5-7 minutes, watching closely.
- In a small saucepan, combine soft caramels and milk over low heat, stirring until melted and smooth (about 5 minutes).
- Place 3 pecan halves in clusters on the baking sheet and pour melted caramel over each cluster.
- Allow the caramel to cool while preparing the chocolate.
- Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until fully melted.
- Drizzle or spoon the melted chocolate over the cooled caramel turtles.
- Garnish with a pinch of sea salt if desired.
- Let the turtles cool completely at room temperature or in the refrigerator before serving.
