A delightful dessert combining the warmth of a gooey chocolate chip cookie with the presentation of a pie.

- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, softened butter, granulated sugar, egg, vanilla extract, and salt to form the crust. Mix until smooth.
- Press the crust mixture evenly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie pan.
- In another bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips into the filling mixture.
- Pour the filling into the prepared crust, spreading it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set but still slightly soft.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an extra treat. You can also add fresh berries on the side.
