- 3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 8 oz penne pasta
- ½ jar Alfredo sauce (16 oz jar)
- 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
- 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
- ÂĽ cup milk
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
Instructions
- Cook the Chicken: Place chicken in a pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer until cooked through. Drain and cut into bite-size pieces.
- Prepare the Pasta: Cook pasta in salted water until just tender. Drain well to remove excess moisture.
- Mix the Casserole: Combine pasta, chicken, Alfredo sauce, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, and half the mozzarella in a large bowl.
- Assemble: Transfer mixture to a greased casserole dish. Top with remaining mozzarella and Cheddar cheese.
- Bake: Bake at 350°F until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes after baking to set and slice cleanly. You can add cooked broccoli or other vegetables for a nutrient boost.
