Deliciously festive Easter Sugar Cookies topped with buttercream frosting and colorful sprinkles.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Colored sprinkles for decoration
  • Buttercream frosting (homemade or store-bought)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a small bowl, stir together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until the mixture is smooth and light in color.
  4. Beat in the egg, along with the vanilla extract and almond extract. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients from the small bowl.
