Ingredients

  • 1 box of vanilla cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 small box of Jell-O (any flavor)
  • 1 cup of sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup of whipped topping
  • Food coloring (optional)
  • Sprinkles (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven according to the cake mix package instructions. Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Combine the cake mix with the eggs and water in a large bowl. Mix well until smooth, then pour into the prepared baking pan.
  3. Bake the cake as directed on the package. Start checking for doneness with a toothpick.
  4. Cool the cake for about 10 minutes after baking, then poke holes in the surface with the end of a wooden spoon.
  5. Mix the Jell-O with 1 cup of boiling water until dissolved, then combine with the sweetened condensed milk.
  6. Pour the Jell-O mixture over the poked cake, ensuring it seeps into the holes.
  7. Cover the cake with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours.
  8. Spread the whipped topping over the cake before serving. Optionally, mix in food coloring.
  9. Cut the cake into squares, serve chilled, and enjoy!
