Description

A juicy and flavorful Easter ham cooked slowly in a crock pot with a sweet glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 810 pounds fully cooked ham
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Optional whole cloves (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Begin by preparing the ham. If it has a rind, gently score the surface in a diamond pattern to allow the glaze to penetrate the meat.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, ground cloves, and ground cinnamon. Mix well to create the glaze.
  3. Place the ham in the crock pot and pour the glaze evenly over it. Use a basting brush to make sure the ham is well coated.
  4. Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 360 minutes.
  5. Once done, carefully remove the ham from the crock pot and let it rest for about 10 minutes before slicing.
  6. Serve the sliced ham with any leftover glaze drizzled on top. Garnish with whole cloves if desired.

Notes

For best results, use a bone-in ham for richer flavor and moisture. Baste periodically for enhanced flavor.
