Description

A delightful treat combining saltine crackers, chocolate, and pastel candies, perfect for Easter or festive occasions.

Ingredients

  • Saltine crackers
  • Unsalted butter
  • Brown sugar
  • Chocolate chips
  • Pastel candies (e.g., M&M’s, sprinkles)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the saltine crackers in a single layer.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar over medium heat. Stir constantly until the mixture comes to a boil.
  4. Pour the bubbling mixture over the saltines, making sure to cover them evenly.
  5. Bake in the oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until the toffee is bubbly and golden.
  6. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Let them sit for a minute to melt.
  7. After the chocolate has softened, spread it evenly over the toffee layer.
  8. While the chocolate is still warm, top with pastel candies and sprinkles for added color and fun.
  9. Allow the candy to cool completely on the baking sheet, then break it into pieces for serving.

Notes

Use parchment paper to prevent sticking and watch baking time to avoid burnt toffee.
