Description

A festive cookie cake combining classic chocolate chip flavors with fun Easter candies, perfect for celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup Easter candy (like M&M’s or chocolate eggs)
  • Optional icing for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a 9×13 inch baking pan by greasing it lightly or lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until the mixture is light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add the vanilla and eggs to the butter mixture. Beat until fully combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredient mix to the wet ingredients. Mix until just combined; be careful not to overwork the dough.
  6. Gently fold in the chocolate chips and Easter candy, making sure they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  7. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Once baked, remove the cookie cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes.
  10. Finally, transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely. You can add icing on top if desired.

Notes

For a festive touch, decorate with colorful icing or sprinkles. Store in an airtight container.
