Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

  • Frosting (for filling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the large egg and vanilla extract and mix until well combined.
  4. Mix together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture until just combined.
