- 2 cups fresh cherries, pitted
- 1 cup granulated sugar (or low-sugar alternative)
- 1/2 cup bourbon
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 packet fruit pectin
Instructions
- Mix the pitted cherries with the sugar and let it sit for about 30 minutes to draw out the juices.
- Add the bourbon and lemon juice to the cherry mixture.
- Heat the cherry mixture over medium heat until it comes to a boil.
- Stir in the pectin and continue to boil for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- Pour the jam into sterilized jars and seal.
- Allow to cool to room temperature before refrigerating.
Notes
