- 1 tsp Peppermint Extract
- Milk (optional, for thinning)
- Extra crushed Peppermint Oreos (for garnish)
- Mini chocolate chips (for garnish)
- Crushed candy canes (for garnish)
Instructions
- Set aside 5-6 Peppermint Oreos for garnishing. Crush the remaining Oreos in a large Ziploc bag or food processor until fine crumbs, leaving some larger pieces for texture.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 1-2 minutes.
- Add powdered sugar and peppermint extract to the cream cheese, mixing on medium-low speed until well combined and smooth.
- Gently fold the thawed whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture until there are no streaks left.
- Fold in about two-thirds of the crushed Oreos, preserving some for garnishing.
- Transfer the dip to a serving bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours to meld flavors.
- Before serving, sprinkle the reserved crushed Oreos on top, and add any other garnishes like mini chocolate chips or crushed candy canes. Serve with dippers like pretzels, fruit, or graham crackers.
